Here we are - the Vining family. This is the only recent photo I could find of us all together. Now how sad is that !!

From left to right, we have elder daughter Abbe(22) who is married to Sam, the handsome hunk taking the photograph. You'll see him later. Next to Abbe is Allan, chief bottle-washer and raconteur. Beside him sits Susan his longsuffering wife of 26 years, though she only looks 21 !! And bringing up the rear is Aprille who has the honour of being the youngest daughter at the tender age of just 19 years.

Our website is intended as an apology to those to whom we never wrote back as well as a tribute to the witness protection programme and the Australian Care in the Community project. We are all those things. I'm surprised we haven't been sectioned.... yet.

As you can see from the background, which for the conspiracy theorists may just be a chroma-key backdrop in a studio, we are snow people. Vining is a Lappish word for handsome, aristocratic, unyeilding, energetic, charismatic, magnetic, adorable, indefatigable and uncharacteristically modest, though modesty comes more easily these days.

As you wander through these pages, please bear in mind that we hail from a shy and retiring tribe of indigenous peoples whom for generations have trekked aimlessly over ice capped rugged terrain to survive. This is our story!
